Farmington Hills Sub is a medium size Farmington Hills MI subdivision. The lots are larger on rolling hills, giving it a countryside style subdivision look. Most of the homes were built in the 1950's and 1960's. It is part of a larger area that includes Glen Orchard subdivision.


There are many ranches within this subdivision. Quite a few of them are the classic looking larger ranches, but some of them are smaller, too.


There are a couple of tri-level and quad-level homes here.


There is an occasional colonial home here.


Here is a street view within the subdivision. The hilly terrain and windy roads help give it a true country feel. There are many mature trees, but there is still also a lot of open landscape from the larger lots.

The Farmington Hills Sub is north of 10 Mile Road and west of Farmington Road. There is a direct entrance into this subdivision from10 Mile Road, but it is also accessible from Farmington Road by going through Glen Orchard. Power Road goes directly through this subdivision.

Krave's Grand River Heights is a medium size Farmington Hills MI subdivision. This is a township style subdivision. So there is a mix of homes within this subdivision with all sorts of different ages, styles, and sizes--seemingly a little of everything. Some of the roads are paved, but there are some are dirt roads. This subdivision is heavily wooded and seems secluded, even though it is near 8 Mile Road.


There are many ranches within this subdivision. Some are the older, but a few of them are newer and larger.


There is a wide variety of different colonial home types here.


There are a couple of tri-level homes. (This one seems to be blocked by too many trees to see it very well.)


There even is a charming looking modern and spacious Cape Cod style home here.


Here are some street views within the subdivision. This sub is heavily wooded and offers a lot of shade during the summer.

The Krave's Grand River Heights subdivision is north of 8 Mile Road, and it is between Farmington Road and Orchard Lake Road. There is a direct entrances into this subdivision from 8 Mile Road, but it is also accessible from Folsom Road (which is the service drive south of M-5 East) by taking Power Road south.

Woodland Acres is a small Farmington Hills MI subdivision. It only has one street. This is a heavily wooded subdivision with a mixture of house types. Most of the homes are older, but there are a few newer ones.


Despite the fact there is only one picture, there are many ranches within this subdivision. There are small starter ranches, and there are some that are a little larger.


There is a wide variety of colonial homes with different sizes, styles, and ages.


There are a couple of tri-level homes here.


They are even building a new home on one of the lots now.

Westlake is a medium size Farmington Hills MI subdivision. The south and southwest corner of this subdivision is exclusively brick starter ranch homes. The other portions mix colonials and ranches, and there are more colonials than ranches in these sections. The homes were mostly built in the 1960’s.


There are many ranches within this subdivision, especially in the original Westlake sub (opposed to Westlake No. 2 or Westlake No. 3). There are mostly standard and L-shaped, but there are a couple U-shaped ones, also.


There are several colonials. Not all of the colonial homes are white within this subdivision, but many of them are.


Here is a street view. There are a lot of mature trees, and this subdivision is moderately wooded.

The Westlake subdivision is between 9 Mile Road and 10 Mile Road, and it is north of Shiawassee Road. Going west to east, it is between Orchard Lake Road and Middlebelt Road. There is a direct entrance into this subdivision from Shiawassee Road. It is also accessible from 10 Mile Road by going through either Hollywood or Stone Creek. It is accessible from Middlebelt Road by going through either Waddell-Wilcox-Rydall Company's Kemberton Park or the Supervisor's Middlebelt and Ten Mile Road Plat No. 1.

Tarabusi Grand River Gardens is a small Farmington Hills MI subdivision. It is only part of three (3) streets. There are a lot of different types of homes here, but the yards are not as large as they are in the neighboring Hollywood subdivision. There truly is not any sort of "typical" house in this subdivision. Several homes are older, but there are a few that were built recently, also. Each home seems to be independently designed. Like Hollywood, it has a lot of different types of homes, but many of them are a little smaller.


There are many ranches within this subdivision. Many of them are perfect starter homes.


There are several colonials. Their styles and ages vary.


There is an occasional tri-level.


There is a bungalow or two.


Here is a street view. There are a lot of mature trees, and this subdivision is moderately wooded.

The Tarabusi Grand River Gardens subdivision is north of both 9 Mile Road and Shiawassee Road, and it is between Orchard Lake Road and Middlebelt Road. There is a direct entrance into this subdivision from Shiawassee Road, but it is also accessible from 10 Mile Road by going through Hollywood. It is also accessible from Orchard Lake Road and Middlebelt Road by going through multiple subdivisions.
