Old Homestead East (Old Homestead Sub No. 1) is a small Farmington Hills MI subdivision. It is an extension of Old Homestead West, but it on the opposite side of Drake Road. The homes within this subdivision were mostly built in the 1950's, 1960's, and 1970's, but there are some newer homes, too.The entrance sign calls this subdivision Old Homestead East, but the city subdivision map refers to this area as Old Homestead Sub No. 1 (opposed to Old Homestead West, which has a legal name of Old Homestead Sub).
There are several colonials within this subdivision.
There are mostly ranches. Some of them are rambling ranch homes.
There are some tri-levels and quad-levels.
Here is a street view within the subdivision. There are several sections with mature trees, but this is a moderately wooded subdivision. Some portions of the sub are more wooded than others, but most of the yards have older trees.
The Old Homestead East (Old Homestead Sub No. 1) subdivision is north of 11 Mile Road and east of Drake Road. There is a direct entrance into this subdivision from Drake Road, but it is also accessible from Pleasant Valley Road, which is a short extension of 11 Mile Road, by going through Pleasant Valley Farms.
